History

A local supplier develops into a global player

In 1960, Oskar Braunsberger established the precursor company to BBG, which was taken over by Hans Brandner in 1999. During the first years, the company was a crafts-oriented enterprise focussing on the automotive industry. Following the takeover, it turned into a globally oriented systems supplier for the processing of polyurethane (PU) across industries. In 2001, the company name changed to BBG GmbH & Co. KG.

Customers in Europe, Asia and America

As early as in 2000, we were able to install the first end-to-end production line for automotive glass finishing. The year after, the first production line was commissioned in China. Now customers from Europe, Asia and America use the molds, machinery, installations, solutions and expertise offered by the company based in Mindelheim/Germany. We are locally represented in the most important markets thanks to BBG Asia, our wholly owned Chinese subsidiary headquartered at Changchun, which was established in 2006, and a service point in Shanghai as well as BBG North America located in Oxford, USA.

From design to plant engineering

In the past few years, we have consistently expanded our range of activities all around our core competence, i.e. the joining of plastics and glass. We have successfully transferred the experience, skills and creativity of our staff and our comprehensive materials know-how to the industries of energy-efficient construction and solar engineering. ExpliCAD GmbH, the engineering office for design and development founded in 2001, support us with their competence in the development of components.
