BBG expands business in North America

Mindelheim/Germany, 20 November 2014. BBG plans to step up its growth in North America in the years to come thanks to the recently established subsidiary BBG North America, which is based in Oxford/Michigan. Being represented by its own subsidiary, the company wishes to increase proximity to its customers and expand cooperation with them. This site furthermore prepares the ground for BBG to be able to offer its services faster and at a more competitive price.

Cooperation as early as during the design and development phases

The subsidiary was also established in response to customers’ requests for an expansion of on-site consultation and cooperation. Since the site is conveniently located with regard to the headquarters and development centers of companies such as Fuyao, Inalfa, Magna CTS, and Webasto, BBG will be able to offer its services in the future as early as in the planning and development phases of new products.

Faster mold changes at a lower price tag

In addition to s

ales and customer service, BBG North America is in particular going to be in charge of mold modification. On-site change management will do away with lengthy transport and customs formalities so that BBG will be able to process orders, which frequently have to meet critical time requirements, faster and at a more competitive price.

Propitious timing

BBG views the timing for the establishment as exceptionally propitious. The economic framework conditions are positive, and in particular the American automotive industry sees a large demand for investments. The company wishes to benefit from this trend, says Bernhard Satzger, General Manager of BBG North America: “Car glass converters such as Webasto and Fuyao invest heavily. They upgrade existing plants or build additional capacities and production plants. Both companies operate production plants in the immediate vicinity of our American site.”
